The Cheshire Fair Association is expecting a busy season this year, and is looking for dependable, hard-working individuals to fill seasonal maintenance positions starting in April, and lasting through mid-September, If you have the skills to operate multiple pieces of equipment for lawn care and landscaping, and you are willing to work in any type of weather, you might be a great fit for one of our openings! The duties of these positions are varied and may include carpentry, building maintenance and painting, horse and cattle stall cleanouts, equipment servicing, lawn care, landscaping, routine grounds maintenance, assisting with off-season and fair events, performing seasonal opening and closing procedures, cleaning restrooms, collecting and removing trash.
To ensure compliance with NH Department of Labor youth employment laws regarding the operation of power equipment, candidates must be at least 18 years of age. Additionally they must have a valid New Hampshire driver’s license, along with a high school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education, training and experience. The pay range for these positions is $9.50 - $12.50 per hour, depending upon experience. Familiarity with agriculture and farm maintenance a plus.
